Seo Árainn Mhór Turns 2!
We're delighted with how the app has been received and can't wait to share out latest update!Two years ago today the Seo Árainn Mhór mobile app was launched on Arranmore Island.
The Launch
The app was launched on the 17th June 2022 by Andy Caomhánach from the island with all the features immediately available to all users:
- The Home Screen, featuring difference categories for all the pages.
- A Map showing all the pages and stories.
- Search, a way to search all pages of the app.
- Stories, featuring stories which were uploaded by users
- Profile Settings, a way for user to log in and change settings
The First Major Update: Scéal Ó Bhéal
As part of a large update for the app we launched integration with the Scéal Ó Bhéal platform. It features stories from the island, as told by islanders with audio recorded in English and Gaeilge.
The project and platform have been online for 2 years serving islanders and visitors all the latest information from the island.
The latest update! Year 2!
As of today, all page owners are able to edit the pages and posts entirely from the app. Previously this feature was only available online in the web app. This whole week our facebook feed will feature tips on how best to use the app as a business, an islander and visitors
